According to Musk, the talk show hosts have been spreading lies about him and his companies, and he’s had enough.In a statement released to the press, Musk said, “It’s time to set the record straight. The lawsuit, which was filed in a Los Angeles court, accuses Goldberg and the other hosts of making defamatory statements about Musk and his companies, including SpaceX and Tesla.

Among the allegations are claims that The View has accused Musk of cutting corners on safety, mistreating employees, and engaging in unethical business practices.

But some experts are skeptical of Musk’s claims. “This seems like a bit of an overreaction,” said legal analyst Karen Johnson. “The View is a talk show, and talk shows are known for being opinionated.
